Forthclear is a B2B marketplace where merchants list surplus and overstock for bulk buyers. Sellers can add lots by hand or import them with CSV or Excel. Shopify merchants can also list from inside the Forthcast app. A buyer can request a quote, or pay by card through Stripe when the seller enables instant checkout and sets a shipping price. The seller remains the seller of record and arranges shipping with the buyer. Listing has no fee; the seller pays 5% of the item subtotal when a sale completes.

From surplus listing to buyer enquiry

Publish the lot. Buyers pay by card through Stripe when instant checkout is on, or request a quote when it is not.

Pay by card, or request a quote

When a listing has instant checkout and a shipping price, the buyer pays by card through Stripe for a quantity below the quote threshold. A larger quantity, or a listing that is not open for instant checkout, uses a quote. The seller is the seller of record.

Agree the sale terms

Review the buyer’s request and agree the price and shipping arrangements directly. Sellers pay 5% of the item subtotal on completed sales; buyers pay no platform fee.

A seller may require a resale certificate for a listing. Forthclear reviews it before that buyer can make a tax-exempt purchase; email confirmation alone is not buyer vetting.

Set the quantity, the asking price, and whether buyers can pay by card. A quote is only for quantities at or above your quote threshold, or when instant checkout is off.
